I think it is safe to say that most of us who leave our hometowns after high school, eventually realize we under appreciated our childhood towns. Now every time I visit my parents and younger siblings who are not old enough to flee the small town of Watsonville, CA yet, I try to explore as much of my town as I can. Not surprisingly, I missed a lot in my 18 years of living there. Watsonville is located in Northern California edging into the South Bay Area just south of Santa Cruz. It’s a costal agricultural town with a majority Mexican population and I’m assuming one of the highest undocumented populations per capita in the country. During my last visit I explored Mount Madonna.
