It so happened that after Pharaoh released the people, God didn’t lead them by the road through the land of the Philistines, which was the shortest route, for God thought, “If the people encounter war, they’ll change their minds and go back to Egypt.” So God led the people on the wilderness road, looping around to the Red Sea. Wilderness – what does it remind you of?

God didn’t lead the Israelites through the land of Philistines because He knows the Israelites are not ready to fight another war with them after breaking free from slavery. Instead, He led them to the longer route through the wilderness road to the Red Sea.

I am sure that no one wants to be in the wilderness situation, especially when you just break away from bondage and slavery, you just want to get to your promised destination as soon…
