I painted this a few weeks ago, on January 19th. This is about the wilderness that the Lord takes many through (and some live in!). It often feels insurmountable, like these mountains, but the Lord sustains us through every season. He does not ever abandon us.
This is watercolor with watersoluble graphite. I began with a graphite sketch, then painted over it. The graphite (a Lyra crayon) dissolves very smoothly, though you have the most control if you lay it down before adding water. The background, a pale wash, was last.
